with F-11 Photo's Doug Bundren
June 15th, 1:00 - 7:00pm
Cost: $129.99.
Get a little dirt on your boots, a smile on your face and some outstanding pictures at one of the most photogenic rodeos anywhere with F-11 Photo's Doug Bundren. Meet up at F-11 Photo at 1 p.m. for a two hour class session covering topics like how to select the correct ISO, using white balance to your advantage, and when, how and why to polarize.
Bundren will address proper etiquette for shooting at the event and around livestock; understanding the subject to recognize peak of action, timing, freezing action, using prefocus, how to pan with the action, how to pan against the action, and using blur. Next, he'll give you some ideas for the countless photo opportunities beyond the arena; including still life, candid portraits, detail shots and color abstracts.
Group size is limited for this event and pre-registration is required, so don't wait to sign on. Dress for the weather of the day, whatever that is -- cowboys ride regardless of the weather and so will we. The registration fee includes the lecture, admission to the event and on-site learning at the rodeo where Bundren will give you some tips and help with your questions.
Prerequisites: Basic understanding of your camera including how to set shutter speeds and apertures. If you do not know how to do this, please take time to read your manual or come by F-11 with your camera before June 16th and see a staff member who will show you how this is done.
Recommended minimum equipment: Digital camera with interchangeable lens capability. Tripod and/or monopod. Telephoto lens, 300mm equivalent or longer. At least two blank, formatted memory cards. Full, freshly charged batteries (multiple!). Cleaning supplies. If you do not have this equipment but want to take the class, please call F-11 -- there is some rental gear available.
Class size is limited and pre-registration is required.
